The Judiciary building has housed Hawaii’s courts since the days of the monarchy. I’ve tried many cases here but I wasn’t around during the monarchy period.The Hawaiian name of this building is Ali’iolani Hale.

Ewa side of the Judiciary building.  Ewa is generally “West” if you are in Honolulu. “Ewa” is a place, so the  “Ewa” direction is relative to where you happen to be.
